The Michigan Electronic Dance Music Association (MEDMA)

MEDMA is a student group that thrives on the experience of electronic music. By way of their events, concert outings, and casual gatherings, MEDMA found themselves growing at an unprecedented rate, starting in 2008. The club was evolving from one of fans to one of active participants in the electronic music community.

This new website was intended to legitimize and concretize the organization by extending participation beyond the dance floor and DJ booth. At the same time, it needed to express the intense emotional quality of their events and the club's energy.

The site includes database driven News and Events, as well as a Discussion Board (or Forum) based on the open-source implementation phpBB. I continued to work with MEDMA for 2009-10 school year and eventually expanded the site to include the Exposure Mix page and Podcast which allowed MEDMA to create and post mixes for anyone to download.
