Construction Materials Survey, Guardian Glass

Visit, Research, and Presentation

As an initial look into the material construction of architecture, I visited Guardian Glass in Carleton, Michigan and was given an inside look at the production of float glass.

The presentation board depicts the process of float glass manufacturing, beginning at the stage where the batch of raw materials is heated and through the stage where the semi-solid glass is cut into sheets and prepared for finishing.
